Fight behind your desk…or on the Ground!

Monday, March 11th marked a significant day for Teachers and supporters in the state of Maryland. Originally promised by the state to gain a percentage of funding for local schools, education advocates were proud to remind the Maryland General Assembly that they were still waiting for increased funds. While local casino’s have brought much financial gain to the state, Teachers especially are fighting to ensure that all educational needs for their students are met.

Says NPCL, Inc. President Dr. Jeffery M. Johnson, “Child education can be a huge barrier or a huge support system. Our young men and women need to know that we have their back as a generation that understands the need for education, and sometimes that means raising your voice loudly for what is right!” Joined by 5,000 other supporters, the local supporters hoped to not only gain attention, but results.
